Tiffanie grew up in Merced, Ca. At age 9, she began raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. She always had a passion for dogs, so when she grew up, she began searching for her dream job. She spent time working as a Veterinary Technician and taking obedience classes. In 1995, Tiffanie accepted a position at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. She was an instructor for 5 years, training many dogs and working with visually impaired students. In 2000, she began boarding dogs at her home. As business grew, she needed to find a larger facility. Kris joined her in 2001 and they purchased an older kennel on the west side of Petaluma, in Sonoma County.
In September 2005, Tiffanie flew to Louisiana to help animals in the aftermath of Katrina. While there, she worked in the animal barns helping take care of 1500 dogs. Tiffanie has many heartwarming and heartbreaking tales. She would love to share them with you. Please feel free to contact her at the kennel.

Kris is originally from Ohio. Her experience training dogs, in both Obedience and Conformation, started at age 10. After graduating from college, she worked with several professional Breeder/Show kennels, managed a veterinarian clinic and taught obedience classes. This experience led to an Instructors position at Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. where she taught for 10 years. In 2001, Kris joined Tiffanie with the kennel in Petaluma. She continues working with "Show" dogs.
In 2002, the current K9 Country Club site was purchased. What began as an older kennel in need of major TLC, K9CC has come along way. We renovated the dogs sleeping areas, added 9 play yards, fenced in the 1/2 acre field, and added a bathing area. In July 2006, all the outside runs were replaced. Tiffanie and Kris are still enthusiastic and have plans to rebuild the kennel in the near future. Stay tuned!!
Update Spring 2008:
Our new building is almost completed. We expect to be using it by June 15. We will have 17 more runs.
Update Fall 2008:
The building was completed this summer and we love it! We are now able to accommodate many more dogs. The building stays very cool in the summer and we will be adding heat for the winter. Our new building has 11 indoor/outdoor runs as well as 6 larger indoor only runs.
We are putting the finishing touches on the outside. We will be adding an awning over the outside runs and more lighting.
